On May 28, 2023, Wiggins Park was opened in memory of Dr. Jefferson Wiggins. The book From Alabama to Margraten was the first book in The Netherlands about the Black Liberators and the segregation in the US Army during WWII, based on memories of Dr. Wiggins. The initiative for the Wiggins Park was taken by former deputy Jos Custers.

The unveiling was done by his widow, Mrs. Janice Wiggins, together with the former American ambassador Shefali Razdan Duggal. The park is located in front of the Margraten Town Hall.
